This seems a cheerful world, Donatus, when I view it from this fair garden, under the shadow of these vines.
But if I climbed some great mountain and looked out over the wide lands, you know very well what I would see --brigands on the high roads, pirates on the seas; in the amphitheaters men murdered to please applauding crowds; under all roofs misery and selfishness. It is really a bad world, Donatus, an incredibly bad world.
Yet in the midst of it I have found a quiet and holy people. They have discovered a joy which is a thousand times better than any pleasures of this sinful life. They are despised and persecuted, but they care not. They have overcome the world. These people, Donatus, are the Christians... and I am one of them.

God Wants Me to UNLEARN??!!
As I was reading My Utmost For His Highest by Oswald Chambers this morning, as usual, I read something profound. I felt compelled to share with you what God showed me through the devotional for July 29th.
“It is not true to say that God wants to teach us something in our trials: through every cloud He brings, He wants us to UNLEARN something. His purpose in the cloud is to simplify our belief until our relationship to Him is exactly that of a child…..”
God wants me to UNLEARN some things! That one phrase speaks volumes to me today. Grass needs to grow where those “learned” thoughts have been. Romans 12:1-2 teaches us to “be transformed by the renewing of my mind. I wish I could have a backspace button installed on my brain but, alas, I cannot. Rather I must UNLEARN what my flesh has taught me and replace, renew my thinking in the rich truths of who I am in Christ Jesus! Oh God! Teach me something NEW today!!

Welcome to my New Blog!! LIFELINE
Welcome to my new blog called LIFELINE! The blog is a work in progress and I am learning how to format it and give it a snazzy look! For now it's pretty much a plain Jane but keep coming back! There will be something new every day!
Debbie and I have chosen the sailboat as our logo for our speaking and teaching ministry. Our site is: www.therealitygroup.org. Go there and read about the ministry and why we chose the sailboat as our logo! I am remaining with the nautical theme in the naming of this new blog!
Lifeline is a nautical term meaning: a stout line around the deck of a boat to keep the crew from falling overboard.
Jesus speaks clearly in John 10:10! "The thief comes to kill, steal and destroy but, I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly." The purpose of this blog is to teach the truths of God in such a way that it will keep those who read it from "falling" for the lies of the devil. He wants to kill, steal and destroy any joy or blessings that come with the ABUNDANT LIFE OF CHRIST in us.
I am excited and can't wait to see what God does through the words he will give me to share with you! Please click the follow button and come back everyday - I promise I will be throwing out the LIFELINE to you with every post!
